HogMaw started life as a traditional bluegrass group called Lost Generation Bluegrass but over time the band began to adopt more of a jam band style. Emerging from the steep tradition of Bluegrass Music from York County Pennsylvania, Lost Generation Bluegrass often butted heads with bluegrass purists over their style, electic bass, and having the word bluegrass in their name. Lost Generation certianly did not fit the bow tie fancy hat mold. So out of respect for tradition and in search of greater musical freedom Lost Generation Changed the name to HogMaw. The Band still plays the traditional songs but has branched out to include original tunes with a focus on improvisation.
A HogMaw Show is all about getting you out of your seat and on the dance floor!! Their shows are a nonstop dance your ass off mix of old-time, bluegrass, irish music and original tunes...

Received her bachelors degree From Drexel University majoring in Music Technology and minoring in Business. She is in her last year of graduate school at Drexel University for her Master's degree in Music Therapy.
